Eighteenth century Spanish Conquistador Francisco Vazquez de Coronado explore through the center of North America in search of the legendary Seven Cities of Gold. He reached the cliffs in central Kansas (near modern day Lindsborg) and was stopped by an attack of natives. He turned back and retreated to Mexico.
